"I have been a loyal Verisure customer for around seven years. Back then, installation was free, service was smooth, and for that reason we stayed with the company even as prices slowly increased over time. Recently, as our business expanded, I contacted Verisure to get a quote for securing an additional premises — and the experience was honestly shocking. The first consultant who came to our warehouse was extremely pushy and aggressive. Instead of assessing our existing system and advising professionally, she insisted that we should remove all of our current Verisure cameras and purchase two entirely new sets because, in her words, the old equipment was “not good anymore.” She quoted £799 + £199 + VAT (£1,077 total) for installation but then said she could “reduce” it to £399 including VAT if we agreed on the spot. This contradicted a previous quote from another Verisure colleague just three days earlier, who said installation would be £299 + VAT plus a £50 Amazon voucher. Confused by the conflicting information, I called Verisure customer service for clarification. They told me they would send someone else to reassess and give a proper quote — yet the same consultant turned up again. She pushed me to book an installation immediately, and when I asked about the price, she quoted a completely different figure again (£399 + VAT). When I asked if someone else could handle the assessment, I was told not to call customer service anymore because she had “already given me the price,” even though the price kept changing. Later that day, a different Verisure representative came, introduced as a brand manager. He was polite and more professional, but even he provided a quote that differed from all previous ones. Overall, the experience left me feeling confused and misled. It seems that different staff members can quote whatever price they want, and nothing feels consistent. After many years with Verisure, this chaotic process has made me seriously question the company’s reliability. With so many alarm providers in the market now, I am genuinely considering switching to another company. My advice: be vigilant and compare prices carefully, because the quotations seem to change depending on who you speak to."
